The Salt Management Plan was developed by Jerry Diekema, the Operations Director of the Ottawa County Road Commission during the Spring of 2004.  The Road Commission Board adopted the plan on August 26, 2004.

In March of this year the Ottawa County Road Commission was presented with the Best Practices Award by the County Road Association of Michigan for the Salt Management Plan.  The Salt Management Plan was selected from among several entries.  We are very proud of Jerry’s efforts in developing the plan and then implementing the actions necessary to make the plan a success.
