The Engineering Department of the Ottawa County Road Commission consists of five (5) areas of service: Road and Bridges, Special Services, Right-of-Way, Planning, and Traffic.  Overall responsibilities include design and construction engineering services for road and bridge improvement projects; oversight of all utility work within the county road right-of-way; review and inspection of roadways in proposed subdivisions and new driveways; right-of-way acquisition for road improvement projects; short and long term planning for preservation and expansion of the county road system; and traffic engineering services including review, maintenance, and operation of traffic signals, signs, and pavement markings.
