A performance overview of the Road Commission

Traffic & Safety

It is the responsibility of the Ottawa County Road Commission to maintain safe and efficient roadways for vehicle and pedestrian traffic. In order to achieve this, the Road Commission reviews various traffic, speed, and accident data, to insure the proper traffic control devices such as signals, signs, and pavement markings are implemented. The typical funding for these items comes from the general maintenance funds allocated by the MTF, or as part of the cost in a specific Primary or Local Road Improvement Project.
