Cottonwood Dr. to close June 17 from Bauer Rd. to Taylor St. for reconstruction
Cottonwood Drive will be closed from Bauer Road to Taylor Street to accommodate road reconstruction (existing 2 lane road reconstructed to a 3 lane road with 5 foot wide concrete sidewalks on each side, concrete curb & gutter, and storm sewer).
Access to Cottonwood Drive will also be closed at the following subdivision streets: Monte Carlo Drive, Caprice Drive, Chevelle Drive and Honeybrook Drive.
The anticipated start date is June 17, 2021, and the anticipated completion date is Oct. 8, 2021.
Bauer Road, 24th Avenue, Fillmore Street
Note: A temporary Multi-Way Stop will be provided along the detour route
at 24th Avenue and Bauer Road for the duration of the project.
Annual cape seal surfacing program begins Monday, June 14
The Ottawa County Road Commission will be starting its annual cape seal surfacing program beginning Monday, June 14.
Contractors will be starting with the chip seal portion of the cape seal work, with the microsurfacing portion of the project several weeks later.
The tentative schedule is as follows:

Note: Resurfacing does not close the road. It will remain open to through traffic, with temporary lane closures.
